Building a Healthier Community – St. Luke’s Anglicare

St Luke’s Anglicare works with people who are experiencing challenges, to reconnect them to their community, so they can live positive and meaningful lives.

Based in Bendigo, with services covering central and northern Victoria, and southern parts of New South Wales, St Luke’s offers regional programs involving foster care, youth homelessness, mental health, disability and gambler’s help.

And while government funds to support part of their work, the organisation is truly reliant on community generosity, because individuals, business and community organisations can enable St Luke’s to truly make a difference to the life of a local person.

The UFS Building a Healthier Community Program donation of $1527.00 in 2013 was gratefully received, with these funds going directly into community program work. Including those involving youth services that work with vulnerable young people for housing, education and employment matters.
St Luke’s youth programs are designed to offer positive steps through discussion and mediation, to support a young person, who may be experiencing tough life challenges.

If you’d like to receive UFS member benefits, join our membership program for a low household price and remember to nominate an organisation like St. Luke’s, Who will receive 50% of your membership fee, just like the 214 UFS Members who nominated the St. Luke’s youth program last year.
